"Like A Boy- A Woman's Story"

If a woman placed her feet into the shoes of a man…
Who will she be? Who will she portray? What would be her legacy?

A boy is a young man who lacks maturity and judgment.  A man is distinguished from a boy…a man strengthens, fortify, and embrace.  And you will like to consider yourself a man with your pants to your knee caps?  Well let me take you back in time for a second.  Saggin is a word rearranged from the white man who considered us African Americans, niggas. And you seem so proud to be called a nigga, since every person you approach is referred to as one.
Well let me inform you a little deeper…saggin really came from the prison yards.  A man with his pants down was a way to indicate to the other prisoners that he was open for business…no not your business as if you are an entrepreneur, but your business that is apart of your so call manhood…and many of you want to consider yourself a man!? Hmph…Walk into a professional business for a job interview with your pants down and let me see how much of a man you are!

Then it’s strip clubs and dollar bills…breaking bread to every ounce of booty in the club.  But yet when it’s time for you and your duties at home, you have excuses.  Well let me tell you what excuses are…Excuses are tools of incompetence used to build monuments of nothingness and those that dwell in them, seldom amount to shit! (Excuse my French)

And here comes role play…
Security codes on everything…vibrate so your phone never rings…
And because she sleeps hard, your calls at 1:00 in the morning are easy to get by because she won’t be awakened.  Smart move my guy…
Wish we could switch up the roles…And I could be that
When you ask them questions like me…like where you been at?
Who you were with? What were you doing?
Because you were out doing your own thing and now you insecure because you feel like your game is getting played too…

If I had a thing on the side, made you cry…would the rules change up or would they still apply? If I played you like a toy, can’t be getting mad, but you mad, can’t handle that? So once we start missing, sleeping, and creeping like you…what do you do?  Keep a straight face on when I tell a lie…what you don’t know won’t break your heart.

If I was always gone, hitting the sun getting home…told you I was with my crew when I knew it wasn’t the truth….if I act like you, walked a mile off in your shoes…messing with your head again, dose of your own medicine.
Would the rules still apply if I was I like a boy?
And your mind keeps telling you, she’ll be waiting for me to come home, she ain’t going anywhere…I am her home…
And now your mind got you misconstrued because now she is with a new dude…And you don’t even know it
You thought your plans were just “your plans” then they became her plans…

“And men are quick to make babies, and leave a young mother to be a pappy
And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it’s time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don’t we’ll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies that make the babies
And since a man can’t make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one
So will the real men get up
I know you’re fed up ladies, but keep your head up” –Lyrics of Tupac
